So after surviving November, I now have two weeks left of school! Awesome!

Eeeexcept I have an eight page paper due tomorrow, a three page paper that's part of a final due next week, and four finals to study for. Not to mention work has decided I need more hours suddenly.

Which means I'm calling a not-hiatus! I'll still thread here and there, but I'll be scarce in general and probably thread-droppy and all that fun stuff. I'll still be in IRC, but yeah.

Perceptive Powers: DEPENDS ON HOW YOU DEFINE THIS he's pretty good at figuring out something's wrong with someone and well, he's a COP, but anything beyond that, no. He's a cop, he's supposed to be perceptive. :|a

Can I do something more specific, like shapeshift/body hijack/steal powers?: Go for it!

What about meta powers?: Dee will recognize people, and he's aware that his and Ryo's life is a manga somewhere outside of camp thanks to his previous stay here.

II. IKKI

Powers: Ikki is able to manipulate the air and create wind, and thus create motherfucking tornadoes. Also, with his A-T he is FAST, and able to jump ridiculous heights and do ridiculous things that Oh!Great physics say is possible. Also he is able to talk to birds. Idk if this is a power or what but I wanted to put it here anyway.
Possible Pings: WIND AND BIRD PINGS
So, how evil?: Ikki is a DOUCHE but he is not evil. Ignore the Loki costume.
Perceptive Powers: Ikki is SUPRISINGLY PERCEPTIVE for someone who's a retard, but probably along the same lines as Dee.
Can I mess with them/read their mind?: Yep!
Can I kill them?: Talk to me!
Can I do something more specific, like shapeshift/body hijack/steal powers?: PLEASE DO.

What about meta powers?: Ikki is not NEARLY as bad as Onigiri, but he has them! If you go too far he'll just direct you to the perverted pig. ♥

III. MOKONA

Powers: THE BIG ONES THAT COME INTO PLAY IN CAMP ARE: She's able to sense magic and acts as a translator when the camp translators go down, if ever. (Posts only, obviously). She also has 108 Special Skills that will come into play sometimes as well.
Possible Pings: MAGIC, possibly faiiiiint faint God pings if you wish to play it that way (as she is the clone of the original Mokona).
So, how evil?: . . . seriously.
Perceptive Powers: One of Mokona's skills is UNDERSTANDING LONELY PEOPLE. :)
Can I mess with them/read their mind?: Please don't. ♥
Can I kill them?: Noooooooo.
Can I do something more specific, like shapeshift/body hijack/steal powers?: Talk to me first!
Can I annoy them/earnestly attempt to interfere with their life?: MOKONA WILL ANNOY BACK.

IV. GOKU

Powers: OKAY. Goku himself is a stupidly strong fighter, but he also has the "power" to summon up his staff Nyoibou whenever he wants. However, when he's Seiten Taisei, he is able to draw off the Earth to heal himself.
Possible Pings: Seiten Taisei Son Goku is a being with powers on par with the Gods. He DOES give off demon pings, but if you want to get some God-like pings off of him too, or whatever, I'm cool with it. Also, monkey. Goku's true form IS sealed, but if you want to sense what's hidden inside, go right ahead. ♥
So, how evil?: Not one bit.
Perceptive Powers: NONE.

Powers: Enhanced human! Speed, strength, etc. is all enhanced thanks to being a SOLDIER. Also able to use whatever materia he has equipped for magical magic funtimes. Stupidly strong video game character gooooo.

JUMPING THE BANDWAGON

I just looked at my schedule and have something due every week in November save for the week of Thanksgiving, and even that isn't certain because my professors may be secretly sadists and inflict stuff on us anyway. No seriously, my speech professor would do it!!

So I'm calling a not-hiatus for the entire month of November and first week of December, which may turn into a hiatus if I start falling behind on stuff. WHICH IS TO SAY you will probably not see me at all during the week playing and very rarely on the weekends unless I need some sort of mental break.

If you need me for something, I will still be in IRC and on gchat, because I can't cut myself off completely, but yeah. I SHALL BE SCARCE.

1. Concrit/OOC issue: I am one of those weird people who LOVE crit if I get it. Seriously, if I'm doing it wrong? TELL ME. I have crit posts in each of my character journals, and also welcome it in my e-mail or whatever. If you want to PM me about it? That's cool too!

2. Contact Methods: I am in IRC 99% of the time, usually nicked to one of my characters' names, primarily Ikki and Zack^Fair. But I'm a flake when it comes to IRC and tend to ignore main chan, so if you need me, you're best bet is to either PM me (you don't need to ask!) or grab me on gchat or through e-mail - tirescannotdefeatme @ gmail.

I have AIM (skin of a kira) but I sometimes forget to sign in, so really, gchat/e-mail is your best bet.

Time and scheduling issues: I'm EST! And I work part-time, so I could be around whenever or NOT AT ALL depending on scheduling there. Though I'm definitely garuanteed to be around 10pm-2am my time for whatever.

I'll edit this when school rolls around.

4. Cliques, jumping, thread-dropping, etc.: I WANT TO PLAY WITH EVERYOOOONE. I do tend to play more often with people I'm more comfortable with, but I LOVE threading with new people and making new relationships and whatnot.

Nine times out of ten I won't say no - if I do it's because I'm either tired or too lazy to go find your thread, so I'll make you come to me. 5. Comfort levels: TALK TO ME. I tend to give blanket permission for just about anything with my fighters, but this tends to vary on what and who and -- you get the picture. I don't mind if you want to, say, walk up to L and punch him in the face - but if you're planning on walking up to him and stabbing him in the back? YEAH TALK TO ME. I am usually good for anything, though I do like to know in advance so I'm not sitting here going ?!?!

6. Apps and betaing: APP MY CANONS If you need scans, episodes, whatever I WILL LINK AND PROVIDE.

As for betaing, I'd be happy to! Though keep in mind that I'm a flake - so if I don't get back to you, feel free to shoot off another e-mail poking me to get my ass in gear. I don't know how many times I've forgotten to beta someone and I FEEL BAD ABOUT IT EVERY TIME.

And on the same note, I'm not the best one out there - if you're sending me a first draft, I'll do my best with it, but I do recommend finding someone else to look at it, too. Second draft/final draft? Again, I'll do my best! But I will probably recommend running it by other people, too.

7. Essays: HA HA HA I don't essay about my characters often, but it happens sometimes! And also relationship memes kind of draw them out, orz.

8. Posting and memes: I don't post nearly as much as I used to, mostly because I'm out of ideas and energy. But it happens! I like co-posting too, because the more the merrier and all that. IF YOU WANT TO POST WITH ME ASK I may say no because of no energy but eventually!! I will have energy to help run it.

9. AU-ing: Fuck yes I love AUs. SEX OR JUST POST-CAMP OR WHATEVER I AM DOWN WITH IT.

So Crisis Core is different from most games in that there's no party. Zack fights by himself through the whole game! . . . mostly.

So this is a reference for me on what his limit breaks, summons, and other things. And also a reference if I decide to do any fighting in camp, which . . . will probably happen from time to time because. Game character!

Also this stuff is interesting. :(

The Digital Mind Wave

In Crisis Core, there's something called the DMW, or Digital Mind Wave, which is the limit break system. What this means is that in the upper-left hand corner of the screen, three reels spin! With pictures of certain people that Zack meets throughout the game - Angeal, Sephiroth, Aeris, Cissnei, and Tseng. Below that are numbers that also spins.

How it works is like this:

The reels and numbers will spin. First the left image stops, then the right. If both images match, then you enter Modulation Phase. Then . . .

If All Three Images Are The Same:

- Limit break is activated!
- If the numbers are 777, Zack levels up.
- If two numbers are the same and between 1 and 6, the materia equipped in that position levels up by one. If it's three, then that materia goes up by two levels.

NOTE: Sometimes other modes are activated, those being Genesis Mode, Summon Mode, and Chocobo Mode. More about those a bit later.

If the pictures DON'T match, the number reels keep going, and - depending on what they are - special statuses may be awarded:

777: Invincibility (15 Sec)
666: All Critical Hits (20 Sec)
555: Physical Guard (15 Sec)
444: 0 AP Consumption
333: Magic Guard (15 Sec)
222: 0 MP Consumption
111: Invincibility (15 Sec)
77*: 0 MP Consumption (15 Sec)
7*7: Physical Guard (15 Sec)
*77: Magical Guard (15 Sec)
7**: 0 AP Consumption (12 Sec)
*7*: 0 MP Consumption (12 Sec)
**7: Endurance (20 Sec)

FOR EXAMPLE: You get 6, 6, and 3 in Modulation Phase, materia #6 will level up. However, if you get 7, 2, 7 while NOT in Modulation Phase, you gain Physical Immunity for 15 seconds.

Limit Breaks

The following are the limit breaks Zack learns throughout the game.

Attack Limit Breaks:
- (Silohuette) Chain Slash: A physical attack on one enemy. May or may not be able to be used in camp. We'll see.
- (Sephiroth) Octaslash: Eight physical attacks on one enemy.
- (Angeal) Rush Assault: 15 physical attacks, split up as 7, 7, and 1 - which means, more than one enemy will get attacked if they're present.
- (Tseng) Air Strike: Tseng flies in on his chopper and BOMBS THE SHIT OUT OF THE ENEMIES. Obviously this can't be used in camp, but is worth mentioning.
- (Cloud) Meteor Shots: Zack jumps into the air and sends some magical meteors flyin' down at the enemies.

- (Genesis) Apocolypse: This one's a magic attack - Zack flies up and summons up some kind of symbol below the enemies, then zaps 'em. NOTE: This one is rare and depends on the level of materia and whatnot and is definitely one not going to be used in camp, at least for now.

Status Limit Breaks:
- (Cissnei) Lucky Stars: This one's a status boost - all attacks are critical for x amount of seconds.
- (Aeris) Healing Wave: The name says it all - this one will restore your HP, AP, and MP, and even go past the max and even twice that.

Summons and Chocobo Modes and the Rest

Summons Mode

Summon Mode is one of three random modes you can go into. Much like Genesis Mode, going into this is dependent on whether or not you have the summon materia, as well as the level and other stuff that I really don't get and never bothered paying attention to. [cough]

Summons:
Ifrit - Hellfire (All enemies)
Bahamut - Mega Flare (All enemies)
Bahamut Fury - Exa Flare (All enemies)
Odin - Zantetsuken (All enemies, inflicts sudden death to all enemies)
Phoenix - Rebirth Flame (All enemies, casts ReRaise on Zack)

IN CAMP, however, Zack doesn't have any of the summon materia. So really, this is mostly here for reference.

Chocobo Mode

MY FAVORITE DMWS EVER. |D AGAIN these are dependent on this and that and blah blah blah let's get on to what these are.

Chocobo - Chocobo Stomp: Ever been KICKED BY A CHOCOBO? Hits all enemies.
Cactuar - 1000 Needles: RAIN OF NEEDLESSSSS. Does 18 hits to each enemy. HAHAHA THE VIDEO.
Tonberry - Murderous Thrust: TONBERRY DOES NOT LIKE ZACK. Goes after him. Tonberry trips and the knife goes flying. One enemy.
Cait Sith - Courage Boost - CAIT SITH THINKS YOU CAN DO IT. Cures Poison, Silence, Stop, and Stun and casts Endurance, Barrier, Magic Barrier, 0 MP Consumption, 0 AP Consumption, Physical Guard, and Magical Guard. Obviously one I can't use in camp because CAIT IS NOT HERE ps app him.
Moogle - Moogle Power: Levels up all materia. No attack on enemies.
Magic Pot - Item Mugger: Gives you certain items depending on the level blah blah doesn't do anything to the enemy.

These are ones that - should the chance come up! - I will be using. Mostly because they are ADORABLE and because we have chocobos, tonberries, and moogles in camp.

Now I bet you're saying to yourself, "Man, how is Zack going to play this in camp?" or "tl;dr get to the point already".

WELL. I would LIKE to mess around with the DMW in some battles. To do this, I'll be using this site to get random numbers generated for me.

I WON'T DO THIS ALL THE TIME, OBVIOUSLY. Only in the bigger fights and whenever I actually remember I wanted to do this and also with permission from whoever I'm playing around with as well. BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE FUN. And. Yeah.

Medical Info: Normal human! . . . who's been pumped full of mako and experimented on for five years. Also, dead.

Physical Traits: Tall, built and handsome. |D Also has a scar on his left cheek and some in other places, but you won't see those unless he's naked. Left ear is pierced! Another thing to note - while I have a lot of icons of Zack from before spoilers, he actually looks like this. Also the whole glowy eyes thing.

What's Okay To Mention Around Him: Anything's cool! He doesn't really have any emo buttons or anything like that, and he's pretty zen about a lot of stuff. Mentioning he's a fictional character is cool too. o/ He might get a bit touchy if you bring up other things, though, such as Sephiroth, Genesis, etc.

Abilities: SOLDIER 1ST CLASS BITCHES. Zack was one of the best and is pretty damn good at any weapons, with an emphasis in swords and hand-to-hand. Information about the Digital Mind Wave (DMW) is here along with limits breaks and summons.

Notes for the Psychics: What you see is basically what you get. Thinks about Cloud and Aeris a looot, rambles a bit in his head about whatever's going on when he's thinking.

Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Ask, but I'm usually cool with it.

Hugging/Kissing/Other non-violent physical contact: Go for it!

Maim/Murder/Death: GO FOR IT he is a video game character and saves regularly. \o/ Ask about the murder/death part, though, please.

Welcome to Crisis Core, where the flower girl heroine is just starting to top a boyfriend, the hero Cloud Strife is but a wee soldier, the pretty boy psycho Sephiroth is a sane role model, and your hero is Zack Fair, a member of the elite military group known as SOLDIER. Taking place a few years before Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core tells an unsung story of one young man's dream to be a hero. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, especially when the bad guys you have to fight were once the men you looked up to, and your friends end up going completely insane. Being locked up and experimented on for five years would make even the strongest hero crack, after all. But not Zack - Zack stays true to his values and beliefs of pride and determination, even while he drags Cloud's comatose ass across the world and ultimately dies protecting him. He's remembered as a cheerful, brimming force to be reckoned with. Because taking down an entire army and passing on his legacy to a future Final Fantasy hero, all the while smiling, is what becoming a hero means to Zack Fair.

Is that girl of your dreams not giving you the time of day? Do you fumble over your words when your asking that pretty little girl, boy, or gorilla out on a date? Do you struggle through awkward times where your jaw falls off just from looking at her? Or are you just too chicken to man up and talk to the person of your dreams? If you answered "yes" to any of these, then you're in luck! My name's Zack Fair, and I've been hired to teach you how to say just the thing to make your girl or guy light up like Midgar on a Saturday night. And if you haven't been to Midgar, you should take a trip! Especially the slums - you guys would fit right in. If you do go, definitely go see the flowers. And bring a lot of money, they don't come cheap!

But getting back to the job, say you're walking along and you see a girl. Real pretty, you know, the kind of girl that makes you think of an angel. And that feeling's building up in the pit of your stomach, but it's okay to be nervous! In fact it's normal to be, especially when you're about to walk up to her and talk. But don't let it stop you - square your shoulders, puff out your chest, take a deep breath and go for it! And remember to smile and be yourself - those two things are the most important! And once you've got her attention? That's where you say the line. And that's the tricky part you guys are having problems with, right? Ha ha, no wonder you need a counselor for this stuff!

Here, I'll give you an example of how I'd do it. Are you guys paying attention? Good! So I see 'em, the one. And I put on my best smile and walk right over, watching them the whole time. And I wait until I've got their attention and they ask if anything's wrong . . . and I look them right in the eyes and go "Your eyes remind me of the ocean, and I think I'm lost at sea." . . . Hahaha, it wouldn't come out that smooth, I'd stumble over it a little bit, but girls like guys who can make them laugh, right? And they'll think it's cute that you're nervous! If that's not your kind of line, you can make it more your style, like "When they said you were drop-dead gorgeous, they weren't kidding!" . . . hmm, that one could use some work. But you get the idea. Don't worry so much, just wing it and be yourself and you'll have it in the bag! And if the line doesn't work, well - it got you two talking, didn't it? Man, if I had a gil for every time a line flopped . . .

Anyway, when you're doing all this, don't come on too strong either, or you'll scare them away or worse, end up meeting their hand or their fist. We're trying to charm them, not anything past that! So dropping a line like "If you're Wutai and I'm ShinRa, can I storm your fortress?" is definitely not the one you want to start off with. Trust me on that one. That kind of line is a level 3 and the kind you only use if you're absolutely confident in yourself. Instead of saying that, say something like . . . "You must be a summon, because you answered my call and dropped down from heaven." See how much better that sounds? I used that one once and she was so floored she didn't know what to say!

I can tell you guys look pretty nervous, but have more confidence in yourselves! I know you can do this! Just remember what I told you and you'll have that girl, guy, or gorilla in no time. So now that you've got an idea of what to do, why don't you guys give me a hand and we'll come up with a few things to say to your --

-- whoa, hey! When I said "give me a hand" that's definitely not what I had in mind. Why don't you just . . . stay over there. A little excited to try out what I just taught you, huh? I like your determination, buddy, but I'm not THAT Fair!
